Books or Movies

One movie I always thought was better than the book was One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. I thought that the book was great but there was something about the movie that was really good. The movie was good because I could actually get a visual of the characters especially Chief and McMurphy who were supposedly the main characters. The movie also was great at giving me a sense of what the ward was like as I could imagine when I was reading the book. Sure the book had more details as usual but I thought the movie took some important details and really hit the point on them and they were the main points that were emphasized. The movie also helped enhance the book because they would describe what things looked like and then you actually saw them and it all made sense as to what the author was hinting at. The only thing was that the book was more focused on Chief as he was the narrator and the movie was centered around McMurphy more than Chief and that was the only thing I thought was really lacking in the movie because I liked the Point of View better in the book.
